A frequent question we get asked is “How do I get the cap off my Squeaks Gone bottle?” There is a good chance the bottle will leak if the cap is not on as tight as we can get it. One might think that all would be fine if we just did not tighten it so much. A chemical engineer who loves our lubricants tells us that the fact that our lubricant can escape a sealed bottle signals to him that our lubricant penetrates better than other lubes. We prepared a short video to show you how to remove the cap from the bottle.
The short story is:
Place the bottle on a table. Hold the bottle with one hand and then grasp the cap between your thumb and forefinger using your other hand. While pressing down with your thumb and finger, twist the cap. The cap will rotate and snap the childproof seal as it loosens and unthreads. Remove the cap and the bottle is ready to use to apply Squeaks Gone where you want to use it. You can remove the white ring that is from the childproof seal because it is no longer needed.
You can replace the cap and tighten it to seal the bottle again. Keep in mind that the bottle may leak if laying on its side or upside down. It is the same issue where Squeaks Gone can penetrate through micro-spaces to escape the bottle. By keeping the bottle upright there should be no leaks.
